We, as humans, can only see a small fraction of the light that is all around us, this is referred to as visible light. Despite our limitations, the human eye can see distinguish between 7,000,000 different colors within this visible spectrum. "Hues" are a family of the twelve brightest and purest colors made up of 3 primary colors, 3 secondary colors, and 6 tertiary colors. With these twelve hues, we can mix an infinite number of new colors using tints (mixing white), shades (mixing black), and tones (mixing gray).
Color is an obsession of mine, and I have always been drawn to bright, bold colors. This subsection of my photography expresses the endless possibilities of color. I use hue shifting to challenge viewers to see the world in a new color scheme, and to engage people's imaginations of what the world would look like if the hues in the world were shifted.
